About City Life:
We are a new worshipping community in midtown Sacramento that is exploring the classic Christian faith, and seeking to live out that faith in a way that blesses this city. The grace of the gospel, shown in the life, death & resurrection of Jesus Christ is at the heart of City Life Church. Our weekly worship gatherings (Sunday @ 10:30am, K street between 27th and 28th) focus on the depth of the love God has for us. We hope to be intrigued by that love, changed by God's grace, and eventually find a new motivation to serve the world around us.
We believe that the gospel is not something that 'I have and someone else needs'; rather it is something that everyone needs all the time. Because of this, we have gone out of our way to create a time of worship each Sunday where everyone feels welcome to explore faith: from the complete skeptic to the hopeful believer.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, whether very hesitant or mildly curious about Christianity, or whether you are already a committed follower of Jesus Christ, we welcome you to City Life Church.

City Life Church not a church for ourselves, but have started in order to be a conduit of God's love to our friends & to this city. Our mission is: To be a church in downtown Sacramento that invites new friends to grow in God's grace, live in community, and serve the people of the city.
City Life Church has been forming since 2005, when Pastor Marc Holland began networking & gathering people around the idea of a church for the city of Sacramento. We met in homes, churches, a gallery, cafes, backyards & parks, we prayed, studied, served together, and even sang together.
City Life Church is for all kinds of people. City Life is for people who don't usually feel safe exploring God in a church. City Life is for people who have been hurt in the name of religion. City Life church is for people who haven't heard very much about the gracious, loving and forgiving God of the Bible. City Life church is for people who crave the opportunity to be honest about failings, brokenness, depression, & grief. City Life church is for longtime followers of Jesus who want to serve God in the city. City Life church is for people who have a hundred intellectual barriers to taking Jesus or the Bible seriously. City Life church is for the people of downtown Sacramento!

As you browse our website, notice that in addition to our weekly worship services we have a "open forum" discussion group and occasional opportunities to volunteer in the downtown area. In December 2007 the community page will have more & more information about community pod groups that are forming, starting in the new year.
City Life Church is affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church in North America (www.crcna.org), and has been started with the help of the following partner churches: City Church (www.citychurchsf.org), First Church, Ripon (http://www.riponfirstcrc.org), Living Stones (www.livingstonescrc.com), along with a several other supporting congregations.
